Assessments are what Autolab calls homework assignments
- You can make as many assessments for your course as you need
- There’s a few options in creating an assessment – first we focus on the “from scratch” method.
- With this way, all you need at first is the name of the assessment. All other fields can be ignored for now.
- Once created, you can go back and edit the assessment, and then edit a variety of settings:

- Another option: import assessment from tarball
- You can upload a .tar file which contains all of the assessment configuration already. This could come from two places:
- A previous semester’s assignment, which is exported as a .tar file
- A .tar file created from scratch (less recommended option, as it has many intricacies and potential pitfalls)
